Remember the days when that home in the neighborhood had a movie theatre? It was the coolest house on the block, right? Well, imagine this – that can be your home. What a dream.

The Audio Video Charlotte team can make that dream a reality. And we make it happen with some extra special, quality care.

Over the years, clients have raved about our approach to customer service and support. They love our approach because we not listen to your vision for your home and home theatre, we give you a couple different options.

We always start in the same place though – by talking through a handful of questions together when we talk on the phone or meet at your home.

Here are some of our favorite q’s to work through when it comes to designing, installing, and supporting a home theatre for you and your family.

What’s your space look like or feel like?

The absolute, most important question when you are even thinking about installing a home theatre is this – what kind of space do you have? Don’t force a home theatre into a space that is not equipped for it. The space will end up looking unproportional and the equipment will not all fit. Make sure you have the right amount of space for all your equipment, furniture, and friends.

Are you willing to invest in a professional installer? (Like our team?)

When it comes to the installation, you might want to invest in this part more than anything because you want it to last. Your best bet is to find a top professional in your area, We can install everything for you – from you screen to your speakers. Trust us – it’ll save you time and money in the long run.

Do you have all the right equipment – or can our team make some recommendations for you?

Before installing all your equipment, you have to make sure you have all the right equipment. If you have viable equipment already in your home, we can absolutely work with that; if you’re buying for the first time or ready for an upgrade or something new, we can help you to select equipment based on our experience. Some source components you will most likely need include streaming device and/or antenna, cable, or satellite signal (if you don’t have internet streaming). Also, something to keep in mind – you’ll want to have a surround sound receiver as it’s the very important center – perhaps think of it as the ‘brain’ – of your system.

Another important piece of equipment you’ll want are speakers. They come in all shapes and sizes, and we’re happy to help you select speakers that work for your home theatre experience.

How will you and your family use this space? What’s the experience you want to create?

What you buy for your home theatre also depends on your interest. Are you making this home theatre mostly for movies, sports, music, or all three? If you are a movie buff, you might want to install more advanced DVD systems. If you are a sports fan, you might even want to think about two screens for all the games. And if you are a music lover, you might want to invest a little more in your surround sound system. Each interest has more and less equipment that applies to them.

What’s your budget, and how much are you willing to spend?

We know what you’re thinking: How can I afford this home theatre? Long Story Short, there are a lot of different budget options. Depending on how up-to-the-minute you want your home theatre. The price ranges start from $5,000 and can work their way up to about $50,000 and beyond. Before you start you want to make sure you have enough funds and can have a little bit of backup money incase anything malfunctions.

A home theatre is really an investment in not only your home, but also how you experience and interact with your home. We can help you design and install that experience, so it’s a right fit for your family, your space, your interest, and your budget.
